Rokka: Braves of the Six Flowers – Animacsoft 101 Review

It’s been a quite a while since I last visited my blog. For a couple of weeks, I become very busy because of my hectic schedules and I apologize for that. Today, I have given an opportunity to make a review for a certain anime that I really wanna showcase to my readers’. I am a novice with this kind of field.

So, before we delve into the main review, let me know you that I will not use any flowery words here just like some bloggers do. I believe it will give more complicated for readers to understand my post. Anyway, you don’t deserve to be spoiled. Because I really can’t forgive someone who would tell me the main story of an anime. So, minna! let’s start…

Anime: Rokka: Braves of the Six Flowers(English) | Rokka No Yuusha (Japanese)

Genres: Action, Adventure, Fantasy, Magic, Mystery

Studio: Passione

Aired: Jul 5, 2015 to Sep 20, 2015

Overall score: 8.9

Before it began published I had been waiting for Rokka to release. I’m a research type person and so I made a bit research regarding on this anime. It was just like I indulged myself in going around on other sites just to know the date release. When it started to publish I feel like I was going to love this anime and BOOM! It didn’t disappoint me at all.

It revolves with Adlet Meyer who was chosen to be one of The Heroes of the Six Flowers to defeat demon god. When all members have arrived in a certain meeting location. They suddenly found out that there were 7 Six Heroes Flowers at meeting location. And Adlet has initially become suspect among the group.  Now, the problem, is how are they gonna catch up the impostor?

Story (8.5)

The story of Rokka: Braves of the Six Flowers is fascinating. It really tests your intelligence indeed. It may not be an original story out there but I’m pretty sure, the whole setting is pleasing. It’s very evident to catch up where the story goes. Yes, it is easy to predict what the story is all about. One thing good about the storyline is that they have to find out who’s an impostor among them in which makes became interested more. There were many fight scenes here which are expected in some fantasy genre. With regards of pace, I don’t see any pacing issue in the story. Which is good since the anime is only 12 episodes long. At first glance, I’m a little bit reluctant about the genres. What makes me disappointed, they have wasted every episode  finding the real impostor. Thus,  it became boring to everyone.  But if you watch the anime, you’ll find out soon that the anime was focusing more on mystery genre.

Character (9.2)

The characters are very likable. This may be the reason why this field stands out. The cast has a unique way of showing off their personalities. They also have incredible skills and powers that most of the audience made them astonished. They have also showed a reluctant development of the characters.

I mean, they don’t even show the back story of each of every character which makes me feel bit disappointed. But that’s not gonna be a problem to change my score. It is still acceptable for the most audience especially myself. And I believe it will get another season that would reveal their backstories.

Animation (9.0):

The art style of Rokka: Braves of the Six Flowers is excellent. This is probably why I love the show. It pulled me off. The animation didn’t disappoint me on how they manage the coloring styles.

Passione Studio did a good job for this anime. It never fails me to commend them at all. In some cases, there might be some art style that you didn’t even like it. It may be unappropriated coloring that catches to your attention. Well, if you could watch the anime, you’ll be the one to judge it.

Music/Sound (8.9):

The Opening Theme Song of Rokka: Braves of the Six Flowers is good. I never expect that the songs thoroughly fits on the fantasy genre. The first OTS sound was lively and no wonder why it catches the attention of the audience. However, it’s opposite feels for Opening Theme Song. The first Ending Theme Song is a bit heaviness or eerie. Nevertheless, I admire Michi for that as well Yōko Hikasa and Aoi Yūki for songs they have contributed in this anime. If you listen to both songs, it will lead you to love the anime.

The Opening Theme Song – Cry for the Truth.

Ending Theme Song – Secret Sky

Rokka: Braves of the Six Flowers is one of the most stunning I have seen. I consider the show as a masterpiece because I greatly enjoyed it. It’s not stale or boring. In fact, It definitely thinks you whose the culprit among them. It’s absolutely unpredictable situation. It is also one of my favorite anime till date. If you like fantasy and mystery, this must be appropriate for you. And I urge you guys to watch it too.
